Responsible for the Group Rooms Division, implementing the segment sales strategy and achieving segment revenue goals, property revenue goals, guest and associate satisfaction. Essential duties include but are not limited to solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts (telemarketing, mailings, referrals, etc.) to maximize room and catering revenues and in accordance with preassigned goals; complete the contracts, prepare the appropriate paperwork, coordinate the appropriate areas in the hotel and resolve any issues, complaints and/or problems to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction; assume all responsibilities as delegated by the Director of Sales, and the General Manager; complete any or all other duties that may be required to fulfill customer needs and request. Qualifications include Bachelor’s degree and three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of experience and education; excellent selling skills and understanding of sales process; knowledge of food trends, food and beverage consumption, meal planning, meeting space capacities and set-ups and audio visual; effective decision making skills; excellent relationship and team building, supervisory, listening and negotiating skills; high level of attention to detail; ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality; advanced computer skills required – must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint and other hotel software and systems.
